Meghen Murphy is a 2014 graduate of The Modern. While Meghen was in high school, she enjoyed and excelled in the arts but never considered it as a career path. That is until a recruitment specialist from The Modern came to speak to her class at New Riegel High School. After hearing the recruitment specialist speak and give information on what encompassed the Graphic Design Industry, and that the Design Program was a two-year tract, Meghen knew her path would be with The Modern.

In 2012 Meghen relocated to Kettering to begin her journey to becoming a Graphic Designer. While Meghen attended The Modern, she immersed herself in the all-around design culture of the school where her love for the arts continued to grow! As a part of her education, Meghen was placed with Ohlmann Group for her four-week externship. During her externship, she worked on digital ads and video animation. She impressed them so much during her four weeks that they offered her a full-time Graphic Designer position upon graduating (valedictorian).

Meghen has been fortunate to call Ohlmann Group her work family for almost ten years! In 2014 when Meghen began working at Ohlmann Group as a Graphic Designer she was working on web design, video animation, digital ads, brochures, logo design, and packaging. Through the years she has gravitated to focus mostly on web and print design and taken on more responsibility and leadership roles which led to her being promoted to Senior Art Director in 2023. Meghen is fulfilled in both her projects at work and work/life balance. This is due to Ohlmann Group making sure their team members know they are valued and appreciated. Meghen looks forward to continuing to contribute and grow with Ohlmann Group moving forward.
